This shows the story of Jayne's careful restoration of an Edwardian armchair, undertaken over almost 10 months. Taken from frame to fabric. It is not quite finished - the cushion cover is yet to be made, and the arm fronts hand sewn on.
Not posted for a while - but that does not mean that nothing has been happening!
We have a lot of traditional upholstery projects on the go at the moment. Here we have an Edwardian sprung rocking chair, a 1960's sprung base bedroom chair (boudoir styled!), a sprung Victorian nursing chair, a sprung Edwardian armchair, and a chaise longue.
I will post a few of the projects through from start to finish next post to show how the students restored their pieces.
